PamCham held an HR Transformation Seminar last March 30, 2017 at the Hotel Gracelane that discussed design thinking approach in HR Management, how millennials behave in the workforce and how companies can take advantage of the tech savvy generation in the digital era.
Ms. Joni-Pulido Ferier of SAP and Mr. Andrew Leonard of Synchrony Global discussed the meaning and implications of Digital HR and its role in “developing an actionable HR Strategy and Road Map”.
The digital world was depicted as “many things at once, digitized, collaborative, shared, personalized, measured and connected.” Digitizing HR meant “digitizing human labor/people/employees, serving the workforce in a digitized enterprise and digitizing HR function”.
The need to transform was also stressed as essential in sustaining a business especially in this day and age of rapid knowledge upgrade and technical innovations that warrants CEOs, COOs and HR Managers keeping pace with external trends to stay ahead or at the very least stay globally competitive.
The HR Transformation Framework involves the synergy of People, Process and Technology. It is also important to align HR Strategy with Business Strategy, which entails linking HR priorities and then linking HR activities to these priorities in order to support business strategy.
