The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PamCham) held a consultative meeting with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina Roque and other top officials at Best Western Plus Hotel, Angeles City, on Wednesday, April 2.

The session served as a valuable platform for discussing PamCham’s ongoing initiatives, projects, and accomplishments, which were highly commended by Secretary Roque. The discussion highlighted the organization’s efforts in supporting local businesses, fostering economic growth, and addressing key challenges faced by the private sector.

In addition to recognizing PamCham’s contributions, the meeting also tackled various concerns raised by the business community. Secretary Roque, along with DTI officials, responded promptly to these issues, reaffirming the government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment. Discussions focused on policies, regulatory improvements, and initiatives aimed at empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as strengthening consumer protection measures.

PamCham also took this opportunity to raise concerns on behalf of members who may have issues with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). DTI acknowledged these challenges and assured that they will work closely with the concerned agencies to address them efficiently and provide necessary assistance to affected businesses.
